Boys & Girls Haven was founded in 1948 by Father James Maloney to provide a safe and stable home for orphaned boys who desperately needed support in order to complete school and grow into capable adult men. Since inception, our mission has been to shelter, heal and teach young people to become productive, healthy members of the community. Our organization has grown tremendously since the first cottage was built on our present campus. We now serve both boys AND girls; providing therapeutic residential treatment services, Pre-Independent Living, Independent Living, as well as foster care/adoption services in the community. We also provide out-patient counseling services and support through Family Haven Services iffice. We servechildten, tweens and teens and young adults (primarily abused, neglected or displaced) through a variety of programs offered by Boys & Girls Haven. We firmly believe that EVERY young person can choose to become a productive and contributing member of the community, IF provided with the opportunity and tools to do so.
