Who We Are
Christian Care Communities mission is to enhance the journey of life for older adults. We are dedicated to the care, service and programs that make a real difference in the quality of life and health of older adults and their families. Founded in 1884 as widow's and orphan home in Louisville, KY by Brother William A. Broadhurst and members of his church, their goal was to provide protection, care and friends to its residents. We are proud to say that Brother Broadhurst's legacy has continued to this day with 10 locations around the state to include one in the Historic District of Louisville. With a Chaplain and attractive Chapel inside each community, we are able to provide faith-based care to our residents and staff. All of this is made possible with the help of our partners: churches, organizations, friends, and donors.
What We Do
Our historic district location offers a full-service nursing home with licensed skilled nursing and personal care, a transitional rehabilitation unit, a rehab gym, as well as a secure dementia care unit. As members of Leading Age of Kentucky and Leading age, we also offer affordable senior housing in Friendship House and Chapel House for those who can still live independently. More than just an apartment complex, our community has that “small-town” feeling, with group activities, lovely walking paths and large community/activity rooms.
Nestled in the heart of Middletown you’ll find our second Louisville location which is a beautiful senior living community offering both independent and assisted living. The grounds are welcoming with a gazebo overlooking a pond, a safe-secure walking path, a garden where residents plant their favorite vegetables and so much more. Our staff cares for residents like family, encouraging active independence while providing trusted support.
At both locations, residents may enjoy regularly scheduled Bible studies and weekly prayer services. Our Chaplains are available for counseling residents and their families on a one-on-one basis, completely free of charge. It is this kind of attention that helps us care for our residents as a whole person—body, mind and spirit.
