Who We Are

Out Loud Louisville is a nonprofit that empowers marginalized genders (cis girls, trans youth of all genders, nonbinary youth, and other genderqueer and gender expansive youth) through music and art. We view music as a force for change and community building and as an opportunity to learn self-confidence, self-expression, and participation in social justice. Initially formed as part of the Outskirts Festival, we then became an annual rock camp for youth as Girls Rock Louisville--part of the international Girls Rock collective. Starting in 2022, we rebranded as Out Loud Louisville to reflect our dedication to providing safe and inclusive spaces for all marginalized genders.

What We Do

Out Loud Louisville offers Louisville youth opportunities for emotional growth, music education, and community building through our Summer Rock Camp, after school programs, library programs, and more! Youth learn from local artists and musicians and form last connections with their peers.
