Who We Are
The Floyd County Library's Mission is "to support the growth and creativity of an engaged, informed, and connected community." Through offering food assistance to those facing food insecurity, we are connecting them with a service that is greatly needed in our area.
What We Do
At the Floyd County Library, we provide food assistance through our Community Corner Food Pantry and are seeking volunteers to support our efforts. If you're interested in volunteering in the food pantry to help those seeking food assistance, please reach out! When you volunteer with us, we'll find a role that fits your abilities. You might be completing intake paperwork with individuals seeking food assistance, preparing orders that meet USDA/Dare to Care guidelines, assisting patrons with taking orders to their vehicles, organizing food in the pantry, cleaning the pantry, or unloading and shelving donations.
