Who We Are
The Floyd County Library's Mission is "to support the growth and creativity of an engaged, informed, and connected community." Through offering food assistance to those facing food insecurity we are connecting them with a service that is greatly needed in our area.
What We Do
At the Floyd County Library, we offer food assistance through our Community Corner Food Pantry and are seeking volunteers to help us. If you're interested in volunteering in the food pantry to help those seeking food assistance, please reach out! When you volunteer with us, we'll find volunteer work that fits with your abilities. You might be completing intake paperwork with people seeking food assistance, putting together orders that meet USDA/Dare to Care guidelines, helping patrons take orders into their vehicles, organize food in the pantry, clean the pantry, or unload and shelf donations.
