Often, the volunteer experience gives people purpose and meaning. We were founded by volunteers more than 40 years ago and volunteer services continue to be at the heart of our organization.

Since 1978, Hosparus Health has provided hospice and advanced illness care to tens of thousands of patients and their families in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Started by volunteers, we’re a fully accredited not-for-profit with care teams nationally recognized and respected for their innovation and expertise addressing the most complex health issues. In addition to hospice and advanced illness care, we also offer grief counseling, respite care, and medication management. Hosparus Health cares for patients of all ages and backgrounds – regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, handicap or ability to pay. Care is delivered through a team-oriented approach and is tailored to each patient’s needs and wishes. Our support extends to the patient’s family, caregivers and other loved ones.
