Blitz Team Leaders head a team of 3-6 volunteers who apply weatherizing window plastic to the homes of elderly and/or disabled individuals in Jefferson county. Team Leaders receive a virtual training video prior to the event and are in charge of passing that information along to their team. Project Warm will assign volunteer teams to client addresses a week prior to the Blitz, and Team Leaders will be responsible for calling those households to introduce themselves and confirm what time the team will be coming by. Team Leaders must be aged 18+ and have a valid drivers license. The event is expected to run from 9am to early afternoon.

Please note that Project Warm does NOT assemble teams. Team Leaders are responsible for providing the names of all team members when signing up for the Blitz event.

Healthy Homes Seconds will ride alone with one of our trained Healthy Homes Evaluators to assist in the interview and evaluation portion of our Healthy Homes program. Seconds will be another set of eyes and ears during the interview, and will sit with the client while the Healthy Homes Evaluator inspects the home. They may also relay questions and answers for clients with mobility challenges, and make conversation throughout the 4-hour visit. All Seconds volunteers will receive an orientation prior to their first home visit, as well as the opportunity to ride along on a fully-staffed visit prior to ‘going live.’. Prior health care or hospitality experience is welcome but not required.

Prior home repair experience is welcome but not required.
