Volunteer: Be the Wheel Behind a Meal! – Weekly Truck Driver Needed

Passionate about fighting food insecurity and comfortable driving a box truck?
We’re seeking 1–2 volunteers to help transport food donations to the SVdP Louisville Open Hand Kitchen from the Dare to Care Fern Valley warehouse. You’ll drive our box truck to the Dare to Care Fern Valley warehouse, pick up the weekly food donation, and deliver it to the Open Hand Kitchen. Staff will assist with loading and unloading at both locations.

Drivers must be cleared by HR, carry personal insurance, and hold a valid, unexpired Kentucky driver’s license. This is a flexible volunteer role, with Dare to Care dock hours Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–1:15 PM, or Friday, 7:30–10:45 AM. Each week, we can tailor the pick-up schedule to meet your needs.
