Volunteer: Front Office ReceptionistAs a volunteer receptionist, you’ll help create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who visits the St. Vincent de Paul Administration Building or calls our main line. Your tasks may include: · Answering phone calls and returning voicemails, directing callers to the appropriate SVdP staff member using the phone directory · Welcoming visitors at the door, guiding them to staff offices for scheduled meetings and accepting donations for our food pantry & shelter services · Interfacing with individuals seeking SVdP services with compassion and care, referring them to the correct numbers for housing, shelter, and food · Assisting with the processing of food pantry intake cards, translating data to Excel Want to make a difference by supporting our neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity? Volunteering with SVdP Louisville is a great way to put your clerical skills to work while serving those most in need.
