The Awake Food Bank needs volunteers to distribute fresh produce and other grocery foods to around 700 families weekly on Wednesdays. Food is given out via two drive through lines.
Ways to Help
- Food sorting and preparation
- Placing food in boxes as cars move through the line
- Checking families in
- Making sure each car has a box for food
- Preparing lunch for volunteers
Wednesday Schedule
Food unloading and preparation: 8AM-11AM
Volunteer Lunch: 11AM
Food Line Distribution: 12PM-4PM (busiest time from 12-2)
Volunteers needed weekly: 35-40
Groups are welcome!
