LYG is in need of volunteers to help us clean up our space!
We took advantage of the fact that we haven't had youth in our space for 2 months and used it as an opportunity to take inventory, re-organize, and rethink the way we use all of our programming spaces. In taking on this task, we've realized that we are in need of some help!
LYG staff works incredibly hard to ensure that our space stays orderly and clean, but it can be a lot to manage as a space with a revolving door of youth. Lend LYG your time and help us move, clean, organize, declutter, and generally refresh our space before youth return in March!
Goals for our spring clean:
- Organizing our arts and crafts supplies, including moving them to one location and going through supplies to decide what is worth keeping and what can be thrown away
- Moving items or boxes from room to room, potentially up and down multiple flights of stairs.
- Organizing cleaning supplies, first aid supplies, office supplies, pantry, etc
- Helping us sort through clothes for our closet, organize and fold both what we are and are not keeping, hanging and putting away clothes
- General cleaning like vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down tables and chairs, taking out trash and recycling, etc
- Driving our donations to various locations (must have access to personal transportation, if this is something you would be willing to help with please state that explicitly as we will have to coordinate with the organizations we are donating to)
We will be hosting anyone who would like to support LYG's spring cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12pm-6pm throughout February.
