The volunteer selected for this role will embody Goodwill's core values of respect, excellence, and integrity. They will be instrumental in advancing Goodwill’s mission to assist Kentuckians in securing gainful employment to improve their lives. The volunteer will assist the Opportunity Center by assisting with administrative tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet and assist guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer and direct incoming calls; take messages as needed.
- Provide general information about Goodwill programs and services.
- Support administrative tasks such as photocopying and scanning.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Coordinate with career coaches, facilitators, and clients to ensure smooth front desk operations.
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to unexpected inquiries.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational habits.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Sedentary work with occasional bending, squatting, or lifting up to 15 lbs.
- Frequent use of hands for typing and handling materials.
- Clear vision and hearing for phone and in-person interactions.
