Volunteer: Host a Scarf Drive to Help Support People Facing Cancer

We depend on scarf and story drives around the world in order to fulfill increasing Hope Scarf requests. You can help us spread the word about the work we do by organizing a scarf drive.

Hope Scarves is an international nonprofit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky with the mission to support people facing cancer through scarves, stories and cancer research. Since our founding in 2012, we have shared over 42,000 scarves and stories with people in every state and 40 countries. In addition to scarves and stories, we have invested $1.3 million dollars in metastatic breast cancer research. We support people facing all types of cancer.

Groups of all shapes and sizes hold scarf drives:

We accept the following scarves:

Square Scarves (30" square or larger)Oblong Scarves (at least 17" wide)Light-weight Infinity ScarvesPre-sewn caps, buffs and turbansPashminasNO knit scarves, winter hats, blanket scarves, wigs, etc.

Mail scarves at no cost to you:

Box up the collected scarves.Download a pre-paid mailing label and a donation form from our website.Mail box to Hope Scarves.

Don’t worry about cleaning or ironing your scarf donation. Once received, each scarf is professionally cleaned. A video showing what works and doesn't work along with more helpful information can be found at hopescarves.org/donate-scarf.
