Help us to fill over 200 tote bags with books and other early learning materials.  Books for Babes volunteers go to different prenatal classes to teach families how to read, engage, attach and discover. Each participant receives their own R.E.A.D. tote with 2 books and other materials.  We need help stuffing the totes provided to families.

We are looking for additional board members that are passionate about early literacy and new families.  We are a local non-profit focused on working with local small businesses, to help our local families.  Our board meets bi-monthly for one hour.

Our R.E.A.D. program volunteers visit families in the hospital that have just had a new baby.  Volunteers deliver our totes that include books and other early learning materials.  Then volunteers discuss the importance of reading, engaging, attaching and discovering with their baby beginning at birth.  Training is required as well as completing the hospital's volunteer checklist.
