Who We Are
The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum collects, preserves, and shares the story of the 1895 Victorian mansion and its history through the lens of the two families who inhabited the house - the Conrads and the Caldwells.
What We Do
The home serves as a museum and educational resource, but more importantly supports the efforts to preserve the city's architectural and cultural heritage.
CCHM houses a massive collection of period items, including many original family pieces and a wealth of primary source documents, and stands as a testament to the progressive and abundant lifestyle of the owners, two of Louisville’s most prominent businessmen and entrepreneurs, Theophilus Conrad and William E. Caldwell.
Each year, CCHM welcomes hundreds of students through its doors as an extension of their classroom learning.
Throughout the year, CCHM staff and volunteers harness their creativity by developing and implementing new educational programming.
