Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville brings people together to build homes, community, and hope through affordable housing solutions of homeownership, community development, and home repair. 

We believe in a world where everyone has a decent place to live. 

Habitat has been bringing our community together to build stable homes, strong relationships, and healthy neighborhoods since 1985. This looks like:

• Helped 1,000 families build or improve the place they call home
• Completed over 400 repairs
• Build or rehabbed over 650 homes
• Celebrated 166 homeowners for paying off their mortgage 
  
  

Habitat's homeownership program empowers low-income families to invest in themselves and invest in their communities. By providing a hand up, not a hand out, our homebuyers can build a path towards financial stability and a brighter future.

In addition to our homeownership program, we believe in revitalizing and investing in our city’s most underserved neighborhoods. We work hand-in-hand with area residents to increase pride in their neighborhood and improve their quality of life. Through home repairs and beautification projects, our city’s most challenged communities are becoming healthier, safer and more sustainable.
