Who We Are
The Luhr Elementary Family Resource Center is a school-based program. Our primary goal is to remove non-academic barriers to learning as a means to enhance student academic success. We offers a unique blend of programs and services for our school families.
Mission Statement
To enhance students’ ability to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote:
- Early learning and successful transition to school;
- Academic achievement and well-being; and
- Graduation and transition into adult life
What We Do
Our Luhr Family Resource Center collaborates with our community to promote physical and mental health for families and students as well as opportunities for families to learn together in safe environments. We have 7 main components that we address:
Student Educational Support, Health Services, After School Programming, Basic Needs/Emergency Assistance, Continuing Education for parents and children, Families in Training and referrals to child care for children ages 0-5 years.
