We are a grassroots, community-led nonprofit serving over 200 families annually in Louisville, KY. Founded by first-generation refugees, we understand the challenges our community faces because we’ve lived them. Our team is committed to creating opportunities that foster resilience, equity, and self-sufficiency. At our core, we believe diversity is strength and every smile represents hope for a brighter future.

At More Than a Smile Foundation, we empower immigrant, refugee, and low-income youth and families to overcome systemic barriers. Through mentorship, tutoring, sports, women’s empowerment, and community engagement, we provide safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and lead. Our programs focus on academic achievement, mental health, leadership development, and cultural connection—ensuring that every child and family has the tools to thrive.
