Join St. Vincent de Paul Louisville in bringing hope and hospitality to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Our new Day Drop-In Center offers a safe, welcoming space where guests can rest, access computers and Wi-Fi, charge phones, and enjoy light snacks—all while experiencing hospitality from our staff and volunteers.
As a Drop-In Center volunteer, you’ll help create a welcoming and supportive environment through tasks like:
- Greeting guests and creating a warm, respectful atmosphere
- Assisting with sign-in and check-in procedures as needed
- Restocking snack and beverage stations, including making coffee
- Helping guests access computers, Wi-Fi, or reading materials
- Tidying the space (e.g., wiping tables, organizing reading areas, restocking supplies)
- Offering conversation and social connection to promote a sense of community
Location:
1029 S. Preston Street, Louisville, KY, with volunteer parking just steps from the front entrance.
Schedule:
Volunteer shifts are available Monday through Friday, with both morning and afternoon time slots. Morning shifts run from 9:30-12, and afternoon shifts run from 12-2:30. Volunteers may serve on a regular schedule or sign up for one-time shifts as their availability allows.
