- The CEC currently serves much of West Louisville with programs such as Dare to Care food pantry, West Louisville Community Ministries’ rental assistance program, Camp Africa Summer Camp, youth tutoring, health fairs and senior job training/computer classes, among many more initiatives. We’re working to increase the reach of our efforts to even more of Louisville’s underserved with holistic cultural enrichment, academic development, and outreach from an intergenerational family perspective.
- Our work uplifts the assets of the family and the community while capturing the volunteer’s spirit. We’re always looking for supportive hands to assist with our needs; it’s also a great way to give back to others, use your skills, and/or try something new!
- This summer, we welcome community members with experience in education to teach math and/or reading to our campers.
- Academic Instructors would be asked to commit to at least 2 consecutive weeks of instruction during the 6 week camp.
- Academic instructors would teach Math or Reading from 9am-12pm (Mon-Thur)
- We provide credit hours and internship placement for university students and offer competitive pay as well.
- We welcome all-- no religious affiliation is required to attend, lead, or even host your own event here at the CEC. Catholic means "all-embracing," and that is what we're striving to achieve.
