Mid-Kentucky Presbytery Hygiene Kit Project

Calendar Until May 14, 2021
Expired

Description

Mid-Kentucky Presbytery Hygiene Kit Project collects items to create a hygiene kit to be used internationally and nationally by those affected by disasters.  Churches, pre-schools, and local community groups help collect items. In the past 5 years, we have collected over 10,000 disaster relief kits. The items being collected for each kit include wide toothed combs, cotton wash cloths and hand towels (no micro fibers), nail clippers, individually wrapped toothbrush, unscented and wrapped bar soap, and 1 inch wide band aids.

Due to the need to social distance, we will not be gathering to assemble the kits, but donated supplies are still very much needed.  Disasters continue all around us.  We will accept supplies at Beulah Presbyterian Church at 6704 Bardstown Road on Friday May 14th.  We will be boxing up the supplies and loading them on a truck to take to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Warehouse and Center in Arkansas.

Donations are also accepted or if your group would like to become a collecting center, we would love it!
