For over 30 years, Southern Living has been creating signature custom homes that celebrate life in the South, each reflecting the style, comfort, and innovation of the times. For 2021, we are thrilled to announce that the Idea House will be located in The Breakers at Prospect, in Louisville, Kentucky.
In collaboration with Southern Living, this year’s home is being created by a team of renowned experts in their fields, including builders Jason Black and Jimmy King of Artisan Signature Homes, Atlanta-based architect Brandon Ingram of C. Brandon Ingram Design, Nashville-based interior designer Sarah Bartholomew of Sarah Bartholomew Design and landscape architect Josh Myers of Myers & Co. Landscape Architecture. The home will include the work of a variety of artisans and artists from across the South.
Ticket sales will benefit Gilda's Club Kentuckiana and The LEE Initiative. We need lots of volunteer support to make this happen - and that's where you come in! By signing up for one of the shifts, you will be welcoming and interacting with guests touring the home. Training will be provided and you will have a chance to visit the home prior to your shift, if you'd like. Shifts are 9:45am-1:15pm or 1-4:30pm Thursday through Saturday and 12:45-5:30pm on Sundays. House opens on July 31st and event runs through the end of 2021.
