Description

We need volunteers to help paint a barn and some fencing at Willow Hope Farm - the Kentucky Humane Society's equine facility located in Simpsonville, KY. Volunteers should wear appropriate shoes and clothing for painting outside. Volunteers should bring sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and/or insect repellant. Tasks will involve lifting of up to 30 pounds, stretching and bending. Volunteers must bring a signed waiver with them, or email a PDF of the signed waiver to escoggins@kyhumane.org.

The Equine C.A.R.E. (connect, assist, rescue, educate) Program focuses on horses in transition, helping them find new careers and forever homes. Equine C.A.R.E. priorities include moving horses from crisis into safe homes or rescue, providing re-homing services to horse owners who can no longer keep them, matching available horses with adopters, and making educational tools and resources available to our equine community. Our Equine Program has found new homes and careers for more than 300 horses over the last five years.
