2NOT1 Annual Father's Day Cookout 2023

The Father’s Day Cookout is geared to help 2NOT1 exercise its Mission of “Promote the Safety and Well-Being of Children by Implementing Strategies to Keep Father’s Involved and Families Together”.  This strategy works by incorporating the following steps: To Engage, To Educate, and To Empower. 2NOT1 realizes that the first step to working with fathers is changing the climate because so many time fatherhood programs hinge on what the father is not doing as opposed to highlighting his efforts. A relationship with fathers doesn’t develop unless the father trust the process. The Father's Day celebration is an opportunity to engage the father to begin to establish a relationship to build on later. Also, for many children, spending quality time with their father is not a reality they are accustomed to and the Father's Day celebration changes that. Since 2007, the cookout has brought together fathers and their children so they can enjoy a day full of fun, food, and family. 2NOT1 provides the space, food, activities, prizes, and opportunity. The fathers and children bring the energy!
