PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Volunteers will work at various sites on the Day Spring property helping with a wide range of activity including putting together goodie bags, landscaping and general cleaning. The day will include both indoor and outdoor projects (weather dependent) that will help enhance the lives of adults with disabilities living at Day Spring! All locations are within 5 min walking distance of each other.
This project will benefit the residents of Day Spring who use the services everyday. Volunteers will see first hand how Day Spring effects their lives. This project will impact the relationships between residents and the community. This will be an opportunity for new relationships and connections.
DAY OF ACTION IMPACT:
Metro United Way’s Day of Action launched in 2018 to harness the spirit and power of volunteers, bringing corporate teams together to take on some of our community’s toughest challenges. Over the last five years, 2000 volunteers from 105 companies have completed 130 projects in seven counties in two states.
