In partnership with and sponsored by Metro United Way, the Muhammad Ali Center invites the Greater Louisville community to come together for the Day of Compassion, honoring the 10th anniversary of Muhammad Ali’s passing. Inspired by his powerful words, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth,” this citywide day of service celebrates his enduring legacy through meaningful action.
On June 3, local nonprofits across the city will host impactful volunteer opportunities—creating a shared moment for our community to give back, connect, and make a difference. Together, we can turn compassion into action and create a ripple effect that reaches far beyond a single day. Join us in making an impact.
Here are a few ways to participate:
- Sign up to volunteer: Choose from the projects listed here or serve with an organization of your choice.
- Spread kindness: Every act of compassion—big or small—matters. Kindness strengthens our community, uplifts others, and inspires lasting change.
- Log your impact: Volunteered outside of this platform or performed acts of kindness on your own? Share your efforts by logging your time so we can celebrate the full impact and show the world just how compassionate Louisville truly is.
