More Than a Smile Foundation invites volunteers to join our Community Check-In Day, a 3-hour service event supporting immigrant, refugee, and low-income families in registering their children for 2026–2027 JCPS school transportation (bus services).
Many families face barriers navigating school systems due to language, technology, or unfamiliarity with processes. This event provides hands-on, one-on-one support to ensure students have reliable transportation to school removing a critical barrier to attendance and success.
Volunteers will work alongside youth leaders to:
- Assist families with completing transportation registration forms
- Provide basic tech support for online submissions
- Offer language support when possible
- Help guide families through the process in a respectful, welcoming environment
This is a high-impact, community-centered opportunity where volunteers directly help families access education and essential services while empowering youth as leaders.
No prior experience required training will be provided at the start of the event.
